Featuring special guests BOB KULICK & BILL STARKEY

With Musical Guests ALMOST HUMAN & SHOCK ME

BOB KULICK auditioned for KISS on Jan. 3, 1973, though he (obviously) didn't get the job. He helped in the recording of the Alive II studio tracks. He played on Paul's solo album and performed on tour with Paul Stanley in 1989. He also suggested that Gene and Paul hire his brother Bruce.

BILL STARKEY founded the Kiss Army in Terre Haute, Indiana, when a radio station didn't want to play KISS. (A quote from Gene Simmons: "Bill Starkey kept calling to request our songs, and the deejay said, "We don't do that." Starkey said, "You'd better do it, because by five o'clock, when everybody gets out of school, we're going to surround your beacon with the Kiss Army." The deejay just ignored it--but at five o'clock, there were thousands of kids surrounding this thing. It made the front page of the Terre Haute newspaper; the headline read, KISS ARMY INVADES RADIO STATION, and the KISS Army was born.")

Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door.

Changing of the Guard at KISS ASYLUM
Post from KISS Asylum
Hello KISS ASYLUM visitors. It is hard to believe, but this past
October marked the eight year anniversary of KISS ASYLUM. Though our intent in starting the site was simply to provide a forum for sharing
our love of KISS with our fellow KISS fans all over the world, the site
grew beyond anything we could have ever envisioned. Over the past eight years we have been fortunate to work with some really great people, without whose participation the site would not have been nearly as successful. We won't attempt to mention everyone individually by name because we would inevitably leave someone out, but from the fan who sent in a single news item to those individuals who contributed substantial/ongoing features, every single one made a difference.

And though we have enjoyed seeing the site through to this point, we
realize that the time has come where other obligations in our lives
make it impractical for us to continue to maintain the page; we simply
do not have the time. However, in speaking with some of those closest
to the site it quickly became clear that everyone agreed that it would
be a shame to just "close" the page down. Accordingly, in order to
ensure that KISS ASYLUM continues to be an online presence for fans
worldwide to visit and enjoy we are pleased to announce that Keith
Leroux will be assuming the helm from here forward. Keith is a
longtime, dedicated KISS fan who has been involved with the world of
KISS and KISS fandom for many years, and we are confident he will
continue to carry the KISS ASYLUM flag with pride and professionalism.

We sincerely thank you for your input, patronage, and friendship over
the past eight years. May KISS and KISS ASYLUM continue to "rock and roll all night and party every day" for a long, long time!

Chris & Beth

KISS Freaks Note: We wish you nothing but the best! Its been a pleasure having been involved with Chris & Beth on many features between KISS Asylum and KISS Freaks. Thanks for all your hard work over the years!

Australian KISS Promoter Speaks Limp Bizkit Support Reasons...
From: AussyAce
Dear KISS Fan, I appreciate your input and thoughts in regard to having Limp Bizkit on the bill with KISS on the forthcoming Australian tour. The reasons why I am keen to using Limp Bizkit on the next Australian tour are mentioned below, and after reading and absorbing my reasons, I would hope that you agree with me that this is a good idea and that you will support me in the up coming promotion.
Why is it a Good idea to invite Limp Bizkit onto the Australian tour with KISS ???

1) Limp Bizkits addition will force the ticket price down so all fans can see both bands at a ticket price never previously experienced by KISS fans in Australia before, enabling you the KISS fan to pay less than any time previous tour.

2) We will be doubling security and putting in V barriers to stop all moshing and any rowdy behavior.

3) Anyone slam dancing will be removed with all patrons made aware of the NO Tolerance to this issue form the start.

4) Limp Bizkit will play first, so any KISS fans that do not want to be part of the show at this stage do not need to be in attendance. By the time KISS come on stage the die hard L.B fan will have already seen their band and be in a good frame of mind to then see the Greatest Rock Band In The World and then like you, see what the rest of the world are talking about and become a new KISS fan

5) What this tour does is give Fred Dhurst (Limp Bizkit lead singer) the opportunity to confront the family of Jessica Michalik, who tragically died in an incident last time his band was in Australia, and with your support, this can happen.

So, not only do you get to see two of the worlds great bands for a ticket price a lot less than KISS fans would normally be asked to pay, but for all the reasons given above, I feel that this mix will bring together a conglomerate of fans who will be asked to respect each other right from the get go, and in turn enjoy one of the great concerts on the Australian calendar of 2004. Please feel free to email my web site at www.ampresents.com for any further information or up dates.

LimpBizkit Tour in Australia with KISS

Officially nothing has been announced about this yet. There have been some comments made by the promoter there and LimpBizkit, but nothing has officially released. I will post it if it gets announced.

E! Online Interview with Gene Simmons

A massive new tour...a big new album...huge crowds...You must be feeling pretty energized these days.
I'm like that most of the time. I believe in the philosophy that every day above ground is a good day. The idea that anyone wants to talk to me and find out what's on my mind is still astonishing to me. I mean, it's been 80 million records and almost 30 years later, and the public doesn't seem to be fickle with us.

Indianapolis KISS Expo Note

Keith and I want to say thanks to all the fans that trekked out in the blizzard like conditions to attend the Indianapolis KISS Expo this last weekend. The event was a HUGE success once again. Unbelieveably over 400 fans attended the Expo which is AWESOME, compared to the last few I have been to and heard about in the last year. If it hadn't been for the weather we would have drew over 750 for sure. Also special thanks to all the dealers that came out. We had over 50 tables of merchandise for fans to buy from. This is also a recent high compared to recent Expos. The performance by Bruce Kulick and Bob Kulick was just flat out AMAZING. I heard one fan say their playing was so good that it brought tears to his eyes. SSG members were also on hand performing with Bruce and Bob. They were excellent as always. We did so well we were able to give Bruce and Bob a cash bonus, which is a rare thing for recent KISS Expos which have been only drawing about 150 fans around the country. We can always count on the fans in Indianapolis to support the greatest band and greatest Expo in the midwest. Keep an eye on KISSFreaks.com and KISSShop.com for more Expos coming soon in some very different locations. We hope you are able to attend some of the FANTASTIC events we are planning this year. Don't settle for less than the best when it comes to spending your hard earned dollar for a KISS Expo. Thank you KISS Army!

I will be adding some photos from the event in the next few days. Stop by and check them out.
