MONTERREY, MEXICO LOVE GUN VIDEO FOOTAGE

As the Rock The Nation Tour was winding down, KISS played another great set for the fans in Monterrey. KISS played two nights there and held a press conference. Check out this footage from terra.com.mx. Lots of photos to be posted on KISSFREAKS in the next few days. Photo by Mónica Navarro.

"ROCK THE NATION" KISS TOUR HAS COME TO AN END...21st AUG 2004...

The Kiss "Rock the Nation" 2004 Tour has ended in Mexico City. The last show was attended by over 18.000 devoted KISS fans and was completely sold out. There were no extra cameras to record the show for a DVD release but footage from the previous night and extensive other live footage captured throughout the States will be included on the DVD. The band and the crew seemed to be happy that the tour is finally over and Kiss Fans can now look forward to a Paul Stanley Solo CD and a Kiss concert DVD release, probably around Christmas time that will be ready to enjoy over the holiday season...

The Final Set List is as follows: Love Gun, Deuce, Makin' Love, Lick it up, War Machine - Gene Blows Fire, C'mon and Love me, Got to Choose, Christine Sixteen, I Want You, Calling Dr.Love, Psycho Circus, I Love it Loud, 100.000 Years, Unholy - Gene Spits Blood and Flies, Shout It Out Loud, I Was Made For Loving You - Paul Flies, Detroit Rock City - Encores: God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II, Rock And Roll All Nite!!!

About the show: there was a lot of press there from TV and radio. Inside the hall you feel like you are in a bar, hundreds of waitresses running around serving drinks. Security was very tight, you got checked at least three times before entering the venue. But that didn't stop the Mexican's to bring their digital cameras with them even though hundreds of cameras were taken by the security, which everybody could pick up again after the show...the line there was endless.

The concert was almost sold out, so there was a great vibe in the arena. Hundreds of fans came in make-up and costumes. The band was in an Absolutely Great mood, especially Eric Singer who played like his life was depending on it.

Prices for some tickets were as high as 2.000 Pesos ($243.906 AUD)

After 105 minutes, the Final...Rock The Nation 2004 Concert had been Completed...

And to close another Chapter in KISSTORY with one of my own last final thoughts...

Here's hoping that KISS have finally concluded this formula of their show format and they really do try some more Original Outrageous stunts than going through the motions of the same old repertoire, so that we fans can experience another whole new batch of rare unplaced KISS songs from the Huge extensive back catalogue which must also include all the other cool rare songs that they did not play this time around on the Tour and to NOT be treated to this same setlist for another few years...

The FANS have SPOKEN and KISS's next tour MUST BE a TOUR promoting a NEW KISS ALBUM !!!

The Band could never be more musically correct and sober at the moment and with a lineup that can play music so solidly and with such discipline, it truly would be a shame to NOT see what the Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer combination can produce with Gene and Paul.

They still do have enough time to make another studio album before the final curtain ever comes down...which now appears to still be another 3 or 4 years away. The fans really do need to experience new material before KISS can even consider embarking on another Aussy and Worldwide Tour...

If KISS Really DO Listen to their Fans... Now is the time for the band to be taking notes...

Gene Catches His Breath

From GeneSimmons.com, August 20, 2004

KISS finished its last show of the tour in Mexico City. It was a blast. I got up the following morning at 5:30 am to catch a NYC flight. Arrived in the afternoon, just in time to get dressed and go to see a band that wanted to sign to SIMMONS RECORDS. The group is called JAGSTAR. Actually, they're quite good and may be making some noise soon. Today, I got up at 7:30 am to go to the set of THIRD WATCH, seen on NBC. A very well written and acted show, by the way. Watch it. I played the role of crime lord Daniel Mann.. You can watch the episode on the SEASON PREMIER, September the 17th at 10pm on NBC. Check your local TV Guide for listing. While on the set, the good folks at EXTRA (NBC) came by to interview me in my get up. You see, I don't look like your nice, friendly next door neighbor. I guess I never have.

Kiss announces plans for concert DVD

From Associated Press

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Kiss announced it will tape a concert in Mexico this month for distribution on DVD.

In a conference call Tuesday from Palm Beach, Fla., singer Paul Stanley said the band would tape its Aug. 17 show in Mexico City. Tickets for the concert at the Palacio de los Deportes sold out quickly.

Stanley didn't indicate when the DVD would go on sale, but said it would be distributed internationally.

Evansville Indiana KISS Expo a Smash Hit

The Doors opened at 10am for the VIP guests. Vendors were selling KISS from vintage stuff to the newest pieces on the market. Plus great sights and sounds of KISS were throughout the Evansville Marriott. KISS costumes and tattoos were the fare. Even a Vinnie Vincent costume was worn in the contest.

Almost Human, a local tribute band, hit the stage first. What a sound!!! The band performed something from just about every era of KISS. Bassist, Allen Tate, organized the event. The band did a set and shared the stage for a few with Ron Keel and the infamous, Bob Kulick. It sounded as real as Alive II all over again. Bill Starkey then came on and answered some questions for the fans. He provided some interesting facts to the guests about the early days and KISS. Bob Kulick also took the stage for Q&A and at one point even had Bruce on the phone for the group. Ron Keel did an acoustic set which included Hard Luck Woman. The only known KISS female cover band, Black Diamond, rocked for a session before the day ended.

The Goddess of Black Diamond

This is an event that any KISS fan won't want to miss next year.
