| GENE SIMMONS – Book Signing for SEX
MONEY KISS Borders Nashville, TN 9/23/2003 |
| From: Michael
Shoemaker We arrived at the store just past the beginning of the noon hour. This
was perfect timing as it secured us the last four positions in the V.I..P.
line. The first ten people who purchased a book were secured in the line,
received a souvenir t-shirt, and got to meet Gene before anyone else.
We were fortunate and proud to be among this select group. Local press and television reporters began showing up. Rick and Melody went together first and second. It was like they were talking to an old friend when they got their moment with Gene. Anthony went third. He got several items signed and presented Gene with some gifts. As he posed for photos with Gene, you could tell that it was the happiest moment of his life. I then allowed the fellow who had arrived first in the day to go next.
Then I let a woman who had a baby with her to follow. I was told by the
next person that I could go next. I asked him to be sure out of fairness.
He was fine with it. So up to the stage I went. Gene said “Hi Mike”
and we had a short but friendly conversation as he signed two books for
me. He then posed for two photos with me.

| BRUCE KULICK RECOVERING AT HOME AFTER SUFFERING GUNSHOT WOUNDS |
| From: kulick.net (Media contact: Anne Leighton 718-881-8183/Leightonmedia@aol.com) - Guitarist Bruce Kulick is recovering at home, after being released early Thursday morning (October 16) from Cedars- Sinai hospital. The main discrepancy in previous news reports was that the venue he attended last night was at THE KEY CLUB and Bruce was not involved with the altercation that occured at the RAINBOW BAR AND GRILL. Here is Bruce's report: "I had a great time at the Key Club seeing Vince Neil perform. Highlights of the night included seeing my old drummer from Union--Brent Fitz-- play with Vince. It was amazing to see Motley Crue's founder and bassist Nikki Sixx getting up to jam with Vince and his band. After thanking the band for the show, I left the club at 1:20 a.m. I was walking down the street (Sunset Blvd) just outside of the KEY CLUB to get my car with my friend when shots rang out. I felt my right leg hit and my left temple glazed from at least two shots. I shouted Get down! but never saw the shooter and did not realize the gunshots were fired from the gunman a half block up the street near the Rainbow. My friends called 911 and it was then I realized that a bullet went into my thigh just above the right knee. The police and the paramedics were called amongst the confusion, and I was taken quickly to Cedars Sinai. Upon a thorough examination at the hospital it was realized that the bullet went through my thigh, missing the major artery and bone. I was very lucky in this matter, although I am in pain and uncertain how long recovery will take. My hearing is fine, the temple wound was bleeding for a while, and the doctors called it a very fortunate "abrasion". To think what could have happened from that bullet if my head was not in the position it was that night is a horrific thought. It was certainly a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, walking in a public street having no knowledge of any altercation in the vicinity. Of all the hundreds of people exposed to the gunfire, it is mindblowing to think of shots being fired in a crowd of innocent people. Ive received many messages and phone calls wishing me well and really appreciate all the support from my family, friends, and fans from around the world." Bruce, who plays with Grand Funk Railroad and was in KISS for 12 years,
recently released a solo album, TRANSFORMER. His website is www.kulick.net
and the band is www.grandfunkrailroad.com. He'll be updating the sites
regarding his recovery from the wounds and his upcoming musical commitments. |

| KISS members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons to return to The Strip at LVMS Rock legends are grand marshals for NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals |
| LAS VEGAS – Gene Simmons and Paul
Stanley, principal members of the legendary rock group KISS, will return
to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the third annual ACDelco Las
Vegas NHRA Nationals Oct. 25-26. The pair served as grand marshals for last
year’s event and enjoyed it so much they decided to book a return
engagement to rock Las Vegas.
To commemorate the band's appearance, two KISS-themed cars will compete in the event. The cars of Tony Pedregon (Funny Car) and Kurt Johnson (Pro Stock) will carry special KISS paint themes to launch a die-cast car promotion for Action Performance. “We had a blast with the KISS crew last year and I know Gene and
Paul got a kick out of our sport,” said Johnson, whose ACDelco Chevrolet
Cavalier Pro Stock will carry the KISS colors. “Our goal is to have
them once again join us in the winner’s circle in Las Vegas.” With more than 80 million albums sold -- supported by sold-out tours and 24 gold records -- KISS is a rock ’n’ roll institution. For more information about the band, visit the official KISS website at www.kissonline.com. Tickets are on sale for the third annual NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at LVMS. The event is the next-to-last race on the 2003 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule and should figure heavily in championship battles. This event also will mark Shirley Muldowney’s final Las Vegas appearance as a Top Fuel Dragster driver and the return of Kenny Bernstein aboard the Budweiser King Top Fuel Dragster. Pro categories include Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Bike. Tickets may be purchased by calling the LVMS ticket office at (702) 644-4444. | KISS GUITARIST'S SUPPORT BRINGS REWARD TO LOCAL INDUSTRY VETERANS GOODWILL PROJECT |
| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 25, 2003 Paul Stanley and Silvertone Guitars are just two of many major superstars who have become contributing supporters of a program created by Malott. Instruments for the Youth is what the program is called and Malott's program has names behind it in addition to Paul Stanley and Silvertone Guitars the likes of Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Christina Aguilera, No Doubt, Third Eye Blind, Bush, The Tonight Show, Gladys Knight, Wynonna, Charlie Daniels, Jose Carreras, Chrissie Hyndes of The Pretenders, John Kay of Steppenwolf, Paul Anka, Jimmy Buffett, Backstreet Boys, Seal, and many others. Malott's, Instrument for the Youth program was created to provide underprivileged and impoverished children with free musical instruments. Malott's program is backed by sponsors the likes of C. F. Martin Guitars, Silvertone Guitars, SIT Strings, Ernie Ball, and Mid East Manufacturing. However, the addition of Paul Stanley's name to the list was most rewarding for Malott. It was KISS that inspired Malott to pursue a career in the music business, when Malott was just a child in the late 70's. The first album Malott purchased in his early teens was "KISS ALIVE" an album which launched KISS into international fame and fortune. Malott has a KISS collection which could rival even that of the Hard Rock Cafe, owning title to one of Paul Stanley's personally owned guitars, KISS guitarist, Ace Frehley's original guitar strap from the late 70's, and a couple record albums from the Butterfield Auction which are from KISS bassist's Gene Simmons personal collection, a autographed sketch from drummer, Peter Criss and several other items including a complete KISS stage costume of Ace Frehley's. KISS had a huge following during the late 70's with a string of mega hits and playing a major influence; Malott would later work with and even manage some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Malott would also go on to later produce a solo album featuring one of the members of Bon Jovi along with a member of Grammy Award winning jazz guitarist, Al DiMeola's band and even briefly manage DiMeola himself. During the late eighties and early nineties, Malott promoted several shows throughout the Atlanta and Central Florida area, including a jazz series at Ruperts and even producing events at the Fox Theatre and Atlanta Civic Center. Almost a year ago Malott was spending a few months living in Negril, Jamaica where he created the highly acclaimed Peter Tosh Tribute Album project. An album project featuring a number of major recording artists each performing a Peter Tosh song. Those confirmed contributing tracks on the album include Eric Clapton, Sean Paul, Slash, Ben Harper, Bad Brains, Lucky Dube, Aswald, Cypress Hill and even a track from the late Jerry Garcia recorded back in the early 1990's. The album being produced by Malott in association with the Tosh Estate and Jeanette Smith will raise funds to build a free medical clinic, library, and to complete the Peter Tosh Museum in Westmoreland, Jamaica. An EP will be released in November on Miami's, Stone Tiger Records label. Several major label offers were rejected by Malott before Malott and his team of attorney's found a label most beneficial to the project. "There's no reason to be paying the light bills for someone like Sony for example, when the money could be going more directly to the cause itself". States Malott about the decision to go with a smaller label. The full length album will follow in February 2004. Malott is also about to release a fundraiser album entitled, "Put My Faith in Jah". The full length release will feature hits from reggae stars including Joe Higgs, Toots & the Maytals, Peter Tosh, Luciano, Pablo Moses, Mikey General, Peter Broggs, Big Mountain, Edi Fitzroy, and several others. The collector album is being released in a very limited quantity of only 1000 CD's and is available through pre-order at their www.ptosh.com website. Once the albums are out Malott looks forward to devoting his entire time to his "Instruments for the Youth" program. "Having Paul Stanley behind the project is like having Superman become part of your family as a kid" adds Malott. Silvertone Guitars, also a sponsor of Malott's program, have just released three new Paul Stanley model guitars. Silvertone Guitars came in as a sponsor only recently and have already proven to be a great asset to the program. The company has donated two Paul Stanley guitars to be signed by Paul Stanley and auctioned off during a celebrity auction in Los Angeles early next year to raise funds for the Instruments for the Youth program. Malott plans to auction off several KISS items donated by KISS and the event will have a KISS theme with Silvertone's participation and a performance by a top KISS tribute band and appearances by several top celebrity guest artists. Malott also hopes to get KISS guitarist, Paul Stanley to make a special guest appearance at the event. Malott's Peter Tosh Tribute Album project has already been featured in over 350 publications all across the world, including CNN Headline News, ABC World News, Rolling Stone, ETV, Access Hollywood, Yahoo News, and has been mentioned by the Tonight Show and Good Morning America programs. It has been featured on three separate occasions on MTV and VH1 thus far. The project has an extensive website which was designed by Matt Potter of Iron Lion Design located at www.ptosh.com and just recently won the 2003 Golden Web Award a couple months back. The website has hosted close to 100,000 visitors in the short time it has been up. Malott also recently picked up a Humanitarian Award
with Honors from the South Africa based Worldwide Ambassadors Organization
and has Malott has just announced his plans to launch the Instruments for the
Youth, "Summer Musik Kamp Program". This program will provide
100 needy children a year with a one week camp experience and participants
will receive free room and board and a new musical instrument free of
charge. The camp will feature many outdoor activities but focus on music
instruction featuring special appearances and music clinics from various
major recording artists. The camp will run four one week sessions at various
locations throughout the U.S. and host 25 children at each location. July
2004 is targeted as the kick off date for the first one week camp session.
